Collection 245 represents a new chapter in Roederer's pursuit of excellence, based primarily on the outstanding 2020 harvest. This multi-vintage cuvée shows brilliant aromatics of golden apple, citrus peel, and white flowers, complemented by subtle notes of toasted almonds and fresh pastry. The wine demonstrates remarkable balance between richness and precision, with the depth from reserve wines adding complexity while maintaining the house's signature freshness and mineral drive through a long, refined finish.

This is the 245th blend of Roederer's non-vintage Champagne. It is a fine wine, highlighting the blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, bringing in reserve wines to give richness and balance. It is fresh, beginning to show signs of maturity, with an apple aroma and a ripe palate. Drink now.

Restrained green apple, lemon bush and lime, plus light brioche and chalk. Medium to full body with fine, nicely persistent bubbles and good substance on the mid-palate. Almost biting yet polished at the end, with long, refreshing acidity. Lacks a bit of complexity at the moment, but fresh. Best from 2025.

A mineral-driven version, with an airy, chalky-textured mousse. Deftly integrates hints of smoke and oyster shell with flavors of yellow plum, Gala apple, honeysuckle and salted almond. Refined and persistent on the finish. Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier. Drink now. 15,000 cases imported.

The Estate

Louis Roederer, founded in 1776, is one of Champagne's most prestigious and innovative houses. Located in Reims, it remains family-owned and is currently managed by Frédéric Rouzaud, representing the seventh generation. Roederer owns 240 hectares of vineyards in the finest crus of Champagne, supplying 70% of their grape needs - an exceptionally high proportion for a Champagne house. The estate is renowned for its commitment to sustainable viticulture, with a significant portion of its vineyards farmed biodynamically, and for producing the famous prestige cuvée Cristal.

Multi-Vintage Mastery Refined

At Roederer's estate vineyards, the warm 2020 growing season (which forms the base of Collection 245) produced grapes of exceptional ripeness and concentration. The addition of reserve wines, including perpetual reserve and oak-aged wines from previous years, brings additional layers of complexity while maintaining freshness. Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon's masterful blending captures the essence of Roederer's house style while reflecting the distinctive character of the base vintage.
