Founded by Georges Vernay in 1938, this northern Rhône estate was instrumental in the revival of the Condrieu appellation. A pioneer in crafting expressive Viognier, Vernay’s dedication has positioned the estate as a benchmark for Rhône whites. Today, under Christine Vernay’s leadership, it continues to produce highly sought-after Viognier and Syrah wines.
Located in Condrieu, in the northern Rhône, the estate’s terraced vineyards are perched along steep hillsides overlooking the Rhône River. This setting provides ample sun exposure and excellent air circulation.
The granitic soils enhance the aromatic intensity and texture of Viognier, yielding wines with lush floral notes, balanced acidity, and remarkable longevity. The steep slopes add complexity by concentrating flavors.
