Château Gruaud Larose, situated in Saint-Julien, is a storied second growth estate from the 1855 Bordeaux Classification. Founded in the 18th century, the château has a rich history of crafting robust, age-worthy wines. The estate is known for its iconic circular tower, which symbolizes its enduring presence in Bordeaux. Now owned by the Merlaut family, Gruaud Larose continues to honor its heritage while embracing modern winemaking innovations to maintain its reputation for excellence.
Saint-Julien is celebrated for its ideal location within the Médoc, lying between Pauillac and Margaux. This appellation is characterized by its diversity of gravel soils, which impart a signature elegance to the wines.
