The Estate

E. Guigal is one of the most renowned wine producers in the Rhône Valley, France. Founded in 1946 by Etienne Guigal, the estate is now run by his son Marcel and grandson Philippe. Based in Ampuis, the heart of the Côte-Rôtie appellation, Guigal has expanded its influence throughout the Rhône Valley over the decades. The estate is known for producing a wide range of wines, from entry-level Côtes du Rhône to some of the most sought-after and expensive wines in the world, including their famous "La La" wines from Côte-Rôtie: La Mouline, La Landonne, and La Turque.

Iron Soils Shield Heat Stress

Historic heat waves challenged vines, but La Turque's steep, iron-rich terraces provided crucial protection. The site's perfect exposure helped preserve freshness during extreme summer conditions. The wine shows intense exotic spice, black fruits, and roasted meat notes with La Turque's characteristic opulence.
