Château Rauzan-Ségla, founded in 1661, is a prestigious Second Growth estate in the Margaux appellation. Under the ownership of the Wertheimer family since 1994, the château has seen significant investment aimed at enhancing wine quality.
Located in Margaux on Bordeaux's Left Bank, the estate enjoys a temperate maritime climate moderated by the Gironde estuary. This setting favors the cultivation of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, key components of its blends.
The vineyard's gravelly soils over clay-limestone subsoils ensure good drainage and heat retention, essential for ripening grapes. These conditions contribute to the production of wines with elegance, aromatic complexity, and aging potential.
