Champagne EPC is an innovative grower-producer established in 2019 by entrepreneurs Édouard Roy, Jérôme Queige, and Camille Jullien Gilardi. The estate was founded with a revolutionary approach to champagne production, breaking from traditional house models by focusing on complete traceability and terroir-specific expressions. Rather than owning vineyards, EPC has developed a unique co-creation partnership with local winegrowers, working closely with them to produce distinctive cuvées that highlight Champagne's diverse terroirs. This innovative model, which includes detailed bottle identification on each label, has quickly gained recognition in the fine wine world. In just four years, EPC has established a presence in over 30 countries and earned acclaim from industry leaders for their transparent, terroir-focused approach.
EPC's partner vineyards are situated across various prestigious sub-regions of Champagne, each selected for their distinctive terroir expressions. These areas fall under different classifications within the Champagne appellation, from Premier Cru to Grand Cru sites, reflecting the diverse quality of the region's terroirs. The region experiences a cool continental climate, moderated by oceanic influences, with average annual temperatures around 11°C. Champagne's northern latitude creates unique growing conditions, with long, cool growing seasons that allow for slow grape maturation and development of complex flavors. This combination of factors, along with the varied exposures and elevations of different parcels, enables EPC to create a range of champagnes that express their specific origins.
The terroir portfolio of EPC Champagne encompasses a diverse selection of Champagne's distinctive soil types, from the chalk-dominated slopes of the Côte des Blancs to the clay-limestone compositions found in the Vallée de la Marne and Montagne de Reims.
