Domaine du Meix Foulot has been in the hands of the de Launay family for multiple generations, with Paul de Launay taking the reins in the 1960s. His daughter, Agnès Dewé de Launay, joined the domaine in the mid-1990s and now oversees the 20-hectare estate, continuing the family's tradition of producing wines that reflect the character of Mercurey.
The estate's vineyards are located in the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise, primarily within the Mercurey appellation. These sites feature a variety of slopes, exposures, and soil types, including clay-limestone and marl, which contribute to the complexity and balance of the wines.
Domaine du Meix Foulot's commitment to sustainable farming practices and respect for the environment ensures that each wine authentically represents its terroir. The diverse vineyard sites, combined with careful vineyard management, result in wines that are both expressive and true to their origins.
