The estate combines vineyards from the former Château Tertre Daugay and Château l’Arrosée, uniting centuries of heritage under a single name. Quintus is named after the Roman numeral “five,” symbolizing its position as the fifth estate within the Clarence Dillon family. With a focus on innovation and tradition, Château Quintus has quickly earned a reputation for producing refined, expressive wines.
Château Quintus is situated in the Saint-Émilion appellation on Bordeaux’s Right Bank, an area celebrated for its Merlot-driven blends. The region’s temperate maritime climate, moderated by the Dordogne River, ensures consistent ripening of the grapes while maintaining their freshness.
