After gaining experience at his family's estate, Domaine Colin-Deléger, Philippe Colin established his own domaine in 2004 in Chassagne-Montrachet. His approach emphasizes the expression of terroir through careful vineyard management and restrained winemaking techniques.
The domaine's 12.5 hectares of vineyards are situated in Chassagne-Montrachet and neighboring appellations like Santenay and Puligny-Montrachet. These sites feature diverse soil types, including clay-limestone and marl, contributing to the complexity and balance of the wines.
The terroirs' unique characteristics, such as soil composition and microclimate, are reflected in the wines' profiles, which range from vibrant and mineral-driven to rich and textured.
