An opulent version, this red boasts a lush texture buffered by lively acidity and dusty tannins. That sets the stage for ripe cherry, pomegranate and boysenberry flavors. Accents of earth and spices join in on the chalky finish. Best from 2027 through 2040.

The Estate

Domaine de la Vougeraie, established in 1999, is a family-owned estate located between the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy, France. The domaine was created by uniting several vineyard holdings acquired by the Boisset family over nearly five decades, beginning with a 5-hectare plot north of Gevrey-Chambertin in 1964. The name "La Vougeraie" pays homage to the family home and the village of Vougeot, reflecting the estate's deep-rooted connection to the region.

Refined and Terroir-Driven Elegan

The 2022 vintage in Savigny-lès-Beaune was marked by a warm and dry growing season, resulting in excellent ripeness and concentration while retaining freshness. The well-draining limestone and clay soils of Les Marconnets contributed to the wine’s balance, elegance, and refined tannic structure. This vintage delivers a harmonious and terroir-driven expression, with both immediate appeal and strong aging potential.
