Domaine Lignier-Michelot, a family-run estate in Morey-Saint-Denis, dates back to the early 20th century. Run by Virgile Lignier since 1992, the domaine has transitioned from selling grapes to crafting its own wines, emphasizing precision and expression. Generations of expertise have shaped the estate’s dedication to Burgundy’s winemaking heritage.
Located in the Côte de Nuits subregion of Burgundy, Morey-Saint-Denis is renowned for its diverse vineyards and prestigious climats. Nestled between Chambolle-Musigny and Gevrey-Chambertin, the area enjoys a temperate continental climate, ideal for cultivating Pinot Noir with nuanced character.
The terroir of Domaine Lignier-Michelot’s vineyards is characterized by its limestone-rich soils, interwoven with marl and clay. These soils impart a vibrant minerality and structure to the wines.
