Bodegas Caro, a collaboration between the Catena family and Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite), was established in 1999 to unite Argentine Malbec with French winemaking expertise. The estate produces refined, terroir-driven wines that balance the richness of Mendoza’s Malbec with the structure of Bordeaux-style blends.
Situated in Mendoza, Argentina, the estate benefits from a high-altitude desert climate with intense sunlight and cool nights, ensuring concentration and freshness in the grapes.
The alluvial soils, combined with limestone and sand, enhance the wines’ vibrancy, structure, and aromatic complexity. These terroirs are ideal for crafting elegant, age-worthy blends with a unique Argentine identity.
