Domaine Méo-Camuzet

Estate

Domaine Méo-Camuzet, founded in the early 20th century, is one of Burgundy's most prestigious estates. Located in Vosne-Romanée, the domaine manages about 14 hectares of vineyards, including holdings in several grand cru sites such as Richebourg, Clos de Vougeot, and Échezeaux. Under the leadership of Jean-Nicolas Méo since the 1980s, the estate has risen to prominence, known for producing wines of exceptional quality and finesse. Méo-Camuzet's history is notable for its connection to Henri Jayer, a legendary Burgundian winemaker who served as a consultant and mentor to the domaine.

2020

North Slopes Shape Form

The intense summer required precise picking decisions in this northernmost premier cru bordering Vosne-Romanée. Clay-rich soils provided crucial water regulation through heat spikes, while cooler north-facing slopes preserved freshness. Red fruits and Asian spice define this wine, showing both the vintage's ripeness and the site's natural Vosne-like refinement.

2021

North Slope Guards Freshness

Spring frost severely reduced yields across the northern-lying parcels, while cool temperatures extended the growing cycle. The vineyard's position bordering Vosne-Romanée and iron-rich soils helped preserve balance through challenging conditions, producing focused Pinot Noir with red fruit precision, mineral depth, and the site's signature silken texture.
