Domaine Belargus was founded by Jo Pithon to highlight the nuances of Anjou’s terroirs, particularly those suited to Chenin Blanc. With a focus on single-parcel winemaking, the estate has become synonymous with precision and transparency, showcasing the complexity and versatility of the varietal.
Located in Anjou Noir, in the Loire Valley, the estate benefits from a unique microclimate created by the Layon River, which moderates temperatures and prolongs the growing season.
Schist and quartz soils imbue the wines with profound depth and a refined mineral character. These soils enhance the ageability and aromatic complexity of the Chenin Blanc, producing wines that are both textural and precise.
