Château Saint-Pierre, a distinguished Fourth Growth estate from the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, has roots extending to the 17th century. After a period of fragmentation, Henri Martin consolidated the vineyard in 1982, restoring its historical integrity. Under the Martin family's stewardship, the estate has elevated its reputation, producing wines that exemplify the Saint-Julien appellation's elegance and depth.
Situated in the Saint-Julien appellation on Bordeaux's Left Bank, Château Saint-Pierre benefits from a temperate maritime climate. The proximity to the Gironde estuary moderates temperatures, fostering optimal conditions for viticulture. This region is renowned for producing balanced and structured wines, with Château Saint-Pierre standing as a testament to this legacy.
The estate's 17-hectare vineyard is planted on deep gravel soils over a clay-limestone subsoil, providing excellent drainage and promoting deep root systems.
