Pierre Paillard, a family-owned estate, has been crafting fine Champagnes in Bouzy since 1768. Over eight generations, the family has built a legacy centered on cultivating their own vineyards, producing wines that reflect their deep connection to the land. The estate remains dedicated to family traditions while embracing sustainable practices to ensure their vineyards thrive for future generations.
Located in Bouzy, one of Champagne’s most renowned Grand Cru villages, the estate benefits from a rich winemaking heritage. Bouzy is situated in the Montagne de Reims, a subregion celebrated for its Pinot Noir. The village’s exposure and proximity to the cool Champagne climate are instrumental in producing wines of great structure and balance.
Pierre Paillard’s 11 hectares of vines are exclusively located in Bouzy’s Grand Cru vineyards. The unique terroir features chalk-rich soils with a mix of clay and limestone, which provide excellent drainage and mineral complexity. The diverse microclimates across their vineyards contribute to the estate’s distinctive blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, resulting in wines with precision and depth.
