Domaine Pierre Boisson
Domaine Pierre Boisson, located in Meursault within Burgundy's Côte de Beaune, is a family estate with over two centuries of winemaking heritage. Initially, the Boisson family's wines were released under the Domaine Boisson-Vadot label. In 2017, Bernard Boisson began transitioning the estate to his children, Pierre and Anne, who now produce wines under their own names. The estate encompasses approximately 10 hectares, with Pierre managing 3.5 hectares, primarily planted with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Meursault, renowned for its exceptional white wines, is characterized by its diverse terroir. The region's soils, composed of clay and limestone, provide an ideal environment for Chardonnay, imparting minerality and complexity to the wines. The Boisson family's vineyards are situated in some of Meursault's esteemed lieux-dits, including Les Grands Charrons, Les Chevalières, and Sous la Velle. These sites contribute distinct characteristics to their wines, ranging from richness and opulence to racy minerality.
Domaine Boisson-Vadot’s vineyards span some of Meursault’s finest sites, including the prestigious Genevrières premier cru. The estate employs organic farming practices and a minimalist philosophy in the cellar, emphasizing native yeast fermentation and extended élevage of up to 22 months. With minimal use of new oak, their wines retain a focus on soil-driven character and classic Burgundian elegance, producing Bourgogne Blanc and Meursault wines celebrated for their balance, structure, and longevity.
