Grand Cru
Vincent Dancer
Vincent Dancer established his namesake domaine in 1996, building on six hectares of family-owned vines in Chassagne-Montrachet, Meursault, and Pommard. Although raised in Alsace, Dancer embraced his Burgundian heritage at 22, dedicating himself to crafting wines that honor the family’s legacy. He transitioned the estate to organic farming, emphasizing a philosophy of respect for the land and sustainable practices.
Located in Burgundy’s Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet is a renowned village at the southern tip of the Côte d’Or. This region is celebrated for its white wines, particularly those crafted from Chardonnay, which express an unparalleled depth and complexity. The proximity to Meursault and Pommard enriches the estate’s access to diverse soils and microclimates.
The terroir spans a diverse range of limestone-rich soils, fostering ideal conditions for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The vineyards benefit from a temperate climate with cool nights, which supports balanced ripening and preserves the wines’ natural acidity. Each plot’s unique character is captured through careful cultivation and minimal intervention winemaking.
