Domaine du Pegau, established in the mid-20th century, is one of Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s iconic producers. Known for its traditional winemaking approach, the estate specializes in crafting age-worthy, complex Grenache-based wines that embody the region’s character.
Situated in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the estate benefits from abundant sunshine, warm temperatures, and the mistral wind, which keeps the vines disease-free and the fruit concentrated.
The galets roulés and clay-limestone soils provide excellent drainage and promote ripe, concentrated grapes. This terroir enhances the wines’ structure, spiced aromas, and ability to age gracefully.
